Paper Towns - John Green

The book is about the main characters Quentin and Margo, who where friends and neighbours in their childhood. They found a dead body and in the evening Margo stood in front of Quentin's window and told him about her thoughts about the dead body. Nine years later she stood there again at night and wanted Quentin to have an adventure... At the next day she was gone and Quentin started to search for her, because she left tracks.
The book tells about a girl who is different. Many people think that they know Margo - but nobody knows what kind of person she in reality is.

I like the book because it makes me think of knowing people. Maybe we know nobody in reality, maybe everything we think about a person is wrong...

Margos Spuren/Papertowns

Margos Spuren/Papertowns

The book Papertowns, written by John Green, was published in 2008. John Green writes a lot of books for teenagers and one of them (Das Schicksal ist ein mieser Verräter/ The Fault In Our Stars) was in the cinema as a film a short time ago.
Margo is a beautiful girl with a special way of thinking, very intelligent, different and loved by everyone. Quentin is her neighbour. One night, Margo takes him to a great adventure with her, and the next day, she is gone. Quentin is sure they are more than just friends, so he starts to search her.

PAPER TOWNS, John Green

Quentin Jacobsen has spent a lifetime loving the magnificently adventurous Margo Roth Spiegelman from afar. So when she cracks open a window and climbs back into his life–dressed like a ninja and summoning him for an ingenious campaign of revenge–he follows.
After their all-nighter ends and a new day breaks, Q arrives at school to discover that Margo, always an enigma, has now become a mystery. But Q soon learns that there are clues–and they’re for him. Urged down a disconnected path, the closer he gets, the less Q sees of the girl he thought he knew.

"Paper Towns" is a funny, engaging, eye-opening book. It had me laughing, it had me crying, it had me pondering the way I look at other people. John Green is able to convey an interesting, mysterious novel great for teens. In regards to questionable content, this novel makes use of the occasional four-letter word, has some frank sexual discussion, a bit of violence, and heavy under-age drinking. But really it's nothing any 13 year-old hasn't already heard.

“What a treacherous thing to believe that a person is more than a person.”

“That's always seemed so ridiculous to me, that people want to be around someone because they're pretty. It's like picking your breakfeast cereals based on color instead of taste.”

“The town was paper, but the memories were not.”

NO ESTÀ ESCRIT A LES ESTRELLES, John Green
