EXCHANGE BÜREN-GIRONA_SETEMBRE 2014

Tot just havíem començat el curs quan els alumnes de 3r d’ESO i els de 1r de BAT van fer l’intercanvi amb l’institut Mauritius Gymnasium de Büren, d’Alemanya.

Uns varen arribar el dia 22 setembre i els altres el 25.

Cada alumne català va acollir a un alumne alemany a casa seva durant una setmana.

Al centre van estar fent diferents activitats i algunes classes de català i castellà.

The school course had just started when the 3^rd of ESO and 1^st of Batxillerat students made exchanges with the students from Mauritius Institute Gymnasium Büren, Germany. The youngest students arrived on 22^nd and the others on the 25th of September.

Each of the Catalan students hosted a German student in their home for a week.

Different activities and some classes of Catalan and Spanish were held at the school.

Aquí van anar al museu del cinema, van visitar la catedral i St. Fèlix, i van fer diverses sortides i excursions.

The students also went to the Cinema Museum in Girona, visited the Catedral and St. Fèlix and went on different outings.

I també varen quedar per anar al cinema, jugar algunes partides de bitlles o fer partits de futbol juntament amb els alumnes catalans.

Van anar a la platja i també van anar de visita a una biblioteca del castell de Peralada.

El dia dos d’octubre ja van marxar tots cap Alemanya.

Allà, els de tercer van fer classes d’alemany i els alemanys de català i castellà.

Apart from the activities organised and controlled by the school teachers, the students met to go to the cinema, bowling and play football with their Catalan partners.

The German students went to an organised tour around the Library in Castell de Perelada with teachers and afterwards met the Catalan students to go to the beach.

They went back to Germany on the 2nd October.

There, the 3rd of ESO students received 2 hours of German classes and the Germans of Catalan and Spanish.

Sorprèn la valentia i l’optimisme de la Serena, una noia jove que, amb tan sols catorze anys, aconsegueix tirar endavant una família orfe de mare i amb el pare captiu dels pirates.

Aquest llibre està explicat d’una manera que transmet emocions diferents com la tristesa, l’amor, la superació d’un mateix... Els personatges d’aquesta història et captivaran i faran que no puguis parar de llegir.

Paper Towns - John Green

The book is about the main characters Quentin and Margo,who where friends and neighbours in their childhood. They found a dead body and in the evening Margo stood in front of Quentin's window and told him about her thoughts about the dead body. Nine years later she stood there again at night and wanted Quentin to have an adventure... At the next day she was gone and Quentin started to search for her, because she left tracks.
The book tells about a girl who is different. Many people think that they know Margo - but nobody knows what kind of person she in reality is. 

I like the book because it makes me think of knowing people. Maybe we know nobody in reality, maybe everything we think about a person is wrong...

 

Llora por el amor- Weine aus Liebe

The story of the book "Weine aus Liebe" written by Jaliah J. is about two gangs, one city and a secretly love. The city is splittet in two parts, every part has a gang and they hate each other. Between the gang there is a little war -> the gangs arent allowed to go on the other side, they are like a little family, they dont talk to the other side and they kill each other. Every gang has got a "chef" and one day the sister of this "chef" falls in love with the other "chef", but it was a big problem because of the war. After a long time meeting secretly and after much troubles there is a happy end. The two can be a couple, everybody likes each other and there is no war anymore.

"Weine aus Liebe" is a really good book, with every type of action. if you want to read a book with action, love, happiness and sadness read this book!

Eragon

 

The book "Eragon" written by Christopher Paolini is a classical fantasy novel and the first part of the Eragon Triology, which is about a fantasy world with Urgals, Dragons and Dwarfs. Eragon is only a little farmer child, but after he has found a blue stone in the mountains his full life changes and he is forced to join this fantasy world. I like this book, because it's full of tension and you cannot stop reading until you reach the end.

WORKSHOPS

Jochen Haneke, a German teacher, worked with the students in the singing-workshop. The first song was "You've got a friend" and the second song "Can you feel the love tonight". But all in all they presented their last song "Only you".

The Performance group practiced a small act to represent the beginning and evolution of Literatour.

They talked about important traits of a good logo. They came into the computer room and designed a logo for the website with the program "Illustrator adobe".

In this workshop they designed book covers. They designed them by drawing and tinkering with their hands.

They were binding pages together on their own, so that at the end they had a book made on their own.

The group decorated the school really good so everyone felt comfortable and very well. Thanks to them !

Whisper

The novel "Whisper" written by Isabel Abedi, which won some prizes and which was nominated for the best novel for teens in Germany in 2006, is about a girl who is forced to spend her holidays in an old house which has an exciting secret. The curious girl and her boyfriend embark on a dangerous adventure, in which they find out the truth of a murder.

I really liked to read this book, because there is a lot of tension in it and it is very exciting. I love Isabel Abedi's books so much. Whisper is one of her four mystery novels "Whisper, Isola, Imago and Lucian" and the one I love the most, because I could not stop reading when I started once.

Isabel Abedi is a very successful  author of  kid-books and teen-books.

All her books are translated in many other languages, so everybody can read these great books.

WORKSHOP: MUSIC

In this workshop, we sang in a choir. Our teacher was Jochen Haneke, who practised the songs with us. There were ten students more than planned in the course because they wanted to sing in their free time.

Before singing, we did voice exercises. The students were divided into Alt, Sopran and Bariton voices. Then, we were able to choose between four songs (You've got a friend, Happy, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Only You)

After trying every song, we chose to sing Only You.

 

The worshop was very fun and everyone was very proud of the great result at the end.

Top Secret, Robert Muchamore

The story "Top Secret", written by Robert Muchamore deals with the training of young people to become agents.

James Choke is an ordinary twelve year old. Well - until his mother dies, he ends up in an orphanage and subsequently trained at CHERUB to be agent. From there stands his whole world head - Because life at CHERUB is, for twelve year olds, not child's play ...

My opinion: Very well written. The training is really cool in itself, but a little too hard for twelve year olds. In normal life anyway. Here in the book that seems to be very easy. But hey - it's a book. I know that too. It is super. Even the adventure of his first job, he gets after he has completed the training, I like that. I'm going to buy the following books :)
